All you do to use the Flip is turn it on, start filming (by hitting the red button), and then, you guessed it, hit the red button when you’re done. If you don’t what you have recorded just trash it and start again. No fuss!
To download movies from ‘Flip’ you just flip up the internal USB adaptor, connecting to your computer and literally copying off the video files. On a PC the inbuilt software pops up and away you go! I believe for a Mac special video codec needs to be installed so your Mac understands Flip’s video format. The AVI files can be dropped in to Movie Maker or iMovie, or you can use another bit of Mac software that Flip provides to re-arrange video, and upload to YouTube or AOL Video. You can also take snaps from footage as easy as snap, crackle… pop!
The starting price is around $200 with the cheaper model (Ultra) running on batteries while the more expensive model (Mino) charged via the USB port.
Copes exceptionally well with low light levels
Great for teachers to capture evidence of student achievement
Provides plenty of filming capacity in between downloads to a computer, ideal for excursions or filming around the school
No licensing or networking headaches
Flip Video’s are ideal in the classroom for students to make movies and share content. It is robust, cool and economical.

I'm enjoying looking at your blog. Last week's information on the Flip video was very interesting and the Librarian's Song was great.
Keep up the good work!
